The One About Bringing People to God

Bringing people to GodAt church today we were thinking about bringing people to God and we used this simple activity to pray for people in a creative way.

Everyone was given two connected paper people, one represented them and the other one represented the person that they wanted to bring to God.

People could write either their name or ‘me’ if they wanted it to be confidential and then they pinned their people on the board. It was great to see so many people engaging in this prayer activity and to see so many people prayed for in such a simple way.

The people were fixed to the board using pins and we also considered how it was Jesus’ death on the cross that made it possible for us to have access to God.

Who do we want/need to bring to God?

About honestaboutmyfaith

Hi, my name is Graeme and I’m married to a very patient wife. We have 4 children, 2 rabbits, a terrapin (and not a lot of peace and quiet!). I’m a Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association in the UK (the views expressed in this blog are my own) and I am especially interested in making Church accessible to people who have no church background and also in how we disciple people in order to equip them to live out their faith in the 21st Century.
