This is my Mum, she’s an Author

supermumWhen they were camping recently, my daughter introduced Tracey to some children she was playing with by saying,

‘This is my mum, she’s an author’.

Tracey had just signed a contract to have a book published and it is wonderful the way that my daughter is so proud of her.

Ironically, it was becasue of my daughter that the book got written. My wife wrote it to help my daughter to cope with her special needs (I’ll write something more specific about the book once it has been published).

As I was thinking about how my daughter introduced Tracey, it got me wondering about how we could introduce God.

‘She’s an author’ was a reference to the thing that my daughter was the most excited about in her mum in that moment.

What are we the most excited about with God at the moment?

‘This is my God, he really comforts me’.

‘This is my God, he showed me what to do’.

‘This is my God, he is helping me to love people who I find difficult’.

‘This is my God, he is bringing fulfillment to my life’.

‘This is my God, he became human and died on a cross to make it possible for us all to know him’.

‘This is my God, he created the universe’.

How is God the most real in your life in this moment? Could you tell someone about it?

‘This is my God, he ….’
