God’s Unfailing Love

psalm 143 8 unfailing loveI’ve been reading the Psalms and I’ve noticed how frequently ‘God’s unfailing love’ is mentioned’

In contrast to this, we live in a culture where things are disposable and where very little is built to last.

Is the idea of something being unfailing or never ending becoming alien in our society?

What things around us are unfailing or never ending?

Oxygen appears to be unfailing, we always have air to breathe.

Gravity has never let me down in the way it works.

Light is unfailing (even at night the moon and stars provide light).

Mirrors will always reflect (even if you cover them, they will be reflecting the inside of the cover).

What else could I add to this list?

God’s love is unfailing, it never runs out or stops! His love is never ending!

What should it mean to us that God’s love is unfailing?

Hi, my name is Graeme and I’m married to a very patient wife. We have 4 children, 2 rabbits, a terrapin (and not a lot of peace and quiet!). I’m a Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association in the UK (the views expressed in this blog are my own) and I am especially interested in making Church accessible to people who have no church background and also in how we disciple people in order to equip them to live out their faith in the 21st Century.

  1. Thank you for this gentle reminder of God’s unfailing love. God’s perfect peace is forever more. We just have to align ourselves with it so that we are never short of His peace that He gives. Have a blessed day.
