Easter Sunday: I’ll be back!

If God raised Jesus from the dead then he can do anything! Do we still believe in an all powerful God? Do we expect God to still surprise us? ‪#‎HolyWeek‬ ‪#‎Easter‬ ‪#‎EasterSunday‬ ‪#‎HeHasRisen‬

Honest about my faith

Jesus is alive!Mary and her friends went to Jesus’ tomb and on their way they began to wonder how they would move the large stone from the entrance. When they got closer though, they could see the stone had already been moved. I wonder what they felt in that moment? Probably they thought that someone had been and moved the body, but as they got closer they met an angel who told them Jesus had risen from the dead.

Over the next few days, they and the other disciples met with Jesus and they saw that he was alive. One of the thing that all the first meetings with Jesus after his resurrection have in common is the shock and initial disbelief felt by the person seeing the risen Jesus.

This disbelief and shock though was soon overcome by the reality of Jesus’ presence.

Although it was humanly impossible, for people to come back to life.

About honestaboutmyfaith

Hi, my name is Graeme and I’m married to a very patient wife. We have 4 children, 2 rabbits, a terrapin (and not a lot of peace and quiet!). I’m a Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association in the UK (the views expressed in this blog are my own) and I am especially interested in making Church accessible to people who have no church background and also in how we disciple people in order to equip them to live out their faith in the 21st Century.
