The God Who Opens Doors

Revelation 3.8 God opens doorsGod says, ‘I have opened a door for you that no one can close’ (Revelation 3.8).

It is so encouraging to be reminded that God is all powerful and that he can open doors and surprise us as he opens things up to show us the way forward in all kinds of ways.

The verse goes on,

‘You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.’

Do you notice the focus on strength?

The church God was speaking to had little strength, but that didn’t matter because the all powerful God was going to open a door for them.

All they had to do was to rely on and follow his lead!

I wonder what doors that God is going to open and where he is going to lead us to next?

If you want to think some more about how God leads us, then you might find God will make your paths straight but not necessarily mud free helpful.

If you want to think some more about God’s power, then you might find Do you believe that God is Stronger? helpful.

About honestaboutmyfaith

Hi, my name is Graeme and I’m married to a very patient wife. We have 4 children, 2 rabbits, a terrapin (and not a lot of peace and quiet!). I’m a Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association in the UK (the views expressed in this blog are my own) and I am especially interested in making Church accessible to people who have no church background and also in how we disciple people in order to equip them to live out their faith in the 21st Century.
