The one about the Pig Popper

pig popperSo, I bought a pig popper for £2.67 and I had fairly low expectations because of the price but it is actually a really great toy.

I was expecting something quite small and flimsy, but as you can see from the video below it is reasonably large and actually quite powerful as well.

Sometimes we have low expectations for really bad reasons and often our low expectations say more about our prejudice than they do about the person or situation that we have low expectations of.

I hope that when we are approaching something with low expectations that we will be willing to change our attitudes and to come to it with an open mind.

When we have low expectations of people, it it usually obvious and it is discouraging for them.

So, instead of looking down on people who are struggling, I hope that we can encourage them upwards and inspire them to be the best that they can be. This is how I believe that God treats us and I hope that we can follow his example.

I nearly didn’t order the Pig Popper, but I am glad that I did.

I hope that we will be surprised by people and situations as we give them a chance.

Here’s a video of the Pig that Pops. It is so cool!! 🙂

About honestaboutmyfaith

Hi, my name is Graeme and I’m married to a very patient wife. We have 4 children, 2 rabbits, a terrapin (and not a lot of peace and quiet!). I’m a Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association in the UK (the views expressed in this blog are my own) and I am especially interested in making Church accessible to people who have no church background and also in how we disciple people in order to equip them to live out their faith in the 21st Century.
