Is his name margarine?

mark greeneWe are getting ready to start Fruitfulness on the Frontline at Orchard this Sunday. It is a DVD based resource produced by LICC which is designed to help us to see God at work in and through us in our everyday lives.

It is presented by Mark Greene (pictured) and as I watched session 1 in preparation for Sunday my daughter looked up and said ‘did he say his name was Margarine?’

She wasn’t really paying attention and so she misheard thinking that he had said ‘I’m margarine’ rather than ‘I’m Mark Greene’.

As well as giving me a good laugh, it set me thinking about how we listen to God. My daughter misheard because she was focused on something else.

We have the almighty God who knows and sees everything who is willing to guide and lead us through life. Perhaps we should focus on him more?

About honestaboutmyfaith

Hi, my name is Graeme and I’m married to a very patient wife. We have 4 children, 2 rabbits, a terrapin (and not a lot of peace and quiet!). I’m a Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association in the UK (the views expressed in this blog are my own) and I am especially interested in making Church accessible to people who have no church background and also in how we disciple people in order to equip them to live out their faith in the 21st Century.
